In 1989, Arquilla joined Roto-Rooter Services Company as vice president of the company's Central Region, a position he held during one of the company's most dramatic periods of growth. In 1996, Arquilla was promoted to senior vice president of operations. Three years later, in 1999, he was promoted to his current position of president and chief operating officer. He oversees the operations side of Roto-Rooter's business and spends much of his time at branch locations working with general and regional managers to ensure that Roto-Rooter is providing top quality plumbing and drain service.

Rick was born March 14, 1953. He grew up in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1975. His first job after college was a sales position with The William Powell Company of Cincinnati. Three years later he accepted a sales position at Thompson & Hamilton, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio. In 1981, he was named General Manager of Technical Industries, Inc. of Cincinnati. And in 1983, he was named Vice President and General Manager of Chemlawn Commercial Services in Columbus, Ohio.

Rick is married with three daughters and resides in the Cincinnati area.

Rick Arquilla, Roto-Rooter president and COO, worked with some amazing employees while shooting Undercover Boss.

Henry Toliver was promoted to Field Supervisor at the New Orleans Branch after his experience on Undercover Boss. Henry's co-workers already considered him the "go-to guy" and now he has the title to make it official. Henry devotes a lot of his free time to coaching sports teams and helping kids. Roto-Rooter purchased a 15-passenger van for Henry so he can get his teams to games and practices. Roto-Rooter is also sponsoring Henry's teams and providing them with equipment and uniforms.

Chris Fitzmorris is a jet truck operator at Roto-Rooter in New Orleans. He gave "Hank" (Rick Arquilla) a hard time on the job but also revealed some things that forced Rick to revisit emotional childhood memories of his own father. Chris overcame addiction to become a model employee, father and husband but it wasn't without struggle. Since Chris is such an inspiration to Rick, Roto-Rooter is sending Chris to public speaking classes so he can share his story with Roto-Rooter managers across the country and help them recognize individuals with addictions so they can get the help they need. Since appearing on Undercover Boss caused Chris to miss out on a family vacation, Roto-Rooter is sending Chris and his family on a Caribbean cruise.

Darrell Walker is a sewer and drain technician and video inspection specialist at Roto-Rooter's New Orleans Branch. After the show, Roto-Rooter ordered a new full color, DVD-burning sewer inspection camera for Darrell to replace the old black & white VHS model he's been using. Since Rick is concerned about Darrell's heart health, Roto-Rooter developed a "Keep Darrell healthy plan" and purchased workout equipment for him as well as sessions with a nutritionist and a food budget at a store that offers healthy, nutritional groceries.

Dan Nicholson is a welder at Roto-Rooter's manufacturing plant in West Des Moines, Iowa. After learning that Dan suffers from eye strain, the company purchased him a new set of prescription safety glasses and a top notch welding helmet with a magnifying lens. Dan told Rick that during the summer months, the heat in the factory makes working conditions terribly uncomfortable. To remedy the problem, Roto-Rooter installed a brand new air conditioning system that is keeping the plant cool and comfortable for the employees this summer. And since Dan and his co-workers enjoy working on cars during their time off, Rick purchased new tools and equipment for Dan's personal garage.

Candace Williamson is a customer service representative and dispatcher at Roto-Rooter's Chicago call center. Candace endured a lot of financial hardship last year while assisting two ill parents and a young son with autism, all while going through a difficult divorce. Rick Arquilla and Roto-Rooter gave Candace the money she needed to prevent her home from going into foreclosure and to ease her debt burden. Rick also helped Candace get her son an evaluation at The Autism Program of Illinois.
